My name is Mary but most know me online as SilkieChick or Vixen. I'm a PA Certified and Liceanced Poultry Tech and so is my DH Mike aka Snaring America or keystonebantams. We raise, breed and show all bantams with the exception of my polish birds. We live in the keystone state of PA which is how we got out name Keystone Bantams. We also breed, handrear and hand raise cockatiels and love to garden. Poultry and birds are our hobby and one of our loves in our life but most impotanly is our 5 beautiful kid's who are right there beside us to help and have fun with us. Some of the birds are theirs, they help to feed and collect eggs when they are not busy with school and during the summer mths they go with us to shows and help at local shows we enter our flock at. Showing is something we all take great pride in. For me as a breeder it shows me where my strenghts and weeknesses are, it shows me weather i'm progressing in my breeding projects and goals the way i should. I get to meet many new people along the journey and my biggest goal is to get the ShowGirl breed excepted into the standard. I enjoy showing off my birds here they are exotics not production so that is always fun and best of all nothing beats the quality time and leasons my children and i have learned and spent together hatch, raiseing, breeding and showing which to me is priceless....
